Men in the United States will soon be able to purchase a large variety of high-end products in stores, on the hope that the price of Viagra will eventually drop to as low as $0.10 per pill, according to a new report from Eli Lilly & Co.
The report, which was released Thursday, was commissioned by Eli Lilly, which makes Viagra and other products for men. It has found that the overall price of Viagra, which sells for between $0.14 and $0.38 a pill, will drop to between $0.08 and $0.12 a pill, and to more than $0.12 per pill at CVS and Walgreens, according to the report.

“The price of this product will drop to between $0.08 and $0.12 a pill in the U. S., and to more than $0.12 per pill in Canada,” said Michael O’Leary, an analyst at Deutsche Bank who wrote the report. “It will be a good thing for consumers to know what the price will be for their prescriptions for Viagra and other medications.”
CVS and Walgreens also announced their own prices for Viagra Connect, the products’ generic equivalents to the brand-name drugs.
CVS has about 25 stores in the United States that sell Viagra Connect, according to the report. Rite-Aid has more than 100 stores in the United States.
